The Puerto Rico Coqui could not turn a fine performance from first baseman Danilo Samelo into a win. Instead, the Sao Paulo Toucans prevailed, 6-5, in 10 innings. Samelo went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. Anthony Dalton, credited with the save, is now 6 for 10 in save opportunities. The Toucans now own a record of 64-58.

Sao Paulo took a 6-5 lead on Yusuf Hasni's 28th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hasni hit in the top of the tenth, left Puerto Rico pitcher Chong-sik Kyung visibly frustrated.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Hasni.
