Karachi Falcons starter Yoshinori Matsushita pitched his team past the Beijing Emperors, 4-2. Karachi reliever Phillipp Wolfensberger picked up the win, raising his record to 4-4. Kumar Lata was tagged with the loss. The first-place Emperors have lost 4 consecutive games.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Hae-nim Kwon came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Beijing pitcher Kumar Lata, he hit a first pitch circle change for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Karachi on top, 4-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Kwon. "You've got to get results."
