Jaguars Get Past El Paso for 6-5 Win
Thunderdome was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars and El Paso Thunderbirds.

Despite a great performance by El Paso right fielder Abraha Saqr, the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars defeated the Thunderbirds by the score of 6-5 at Thunderdome. Saqr went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Rio de Janeiro is now 67-57, El Paso 60-64.

Rio de Janeiro needed the clutch hitting of Naruhiko Goto to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jaguars on top, 6-5. For the game, Goto had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Rio de Janeiro manager Echo 127.
