Thunderbirds Deal Rio de Janeiro 8-3 Defeat
The El Paso Thunderbirds withstood an impressive performance by Rio de Janeiro second baseman Jason Endacott to defeat the Jaguars, 8-3, at Thunderdome. Endacott was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. El Paso pitcher Tien Dung Long got the win, upping his record to 17-5. José Torres got the loss. El Paso, at 61-65, sits in third place in the Americas Baseball League North American Division.

Tien Dung Long had a big 2-run home run for the Thunderbirds in the bottom of the third inning. With El Paso leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from José Torres, who signed a 2-year contract worth $9,200,000 on 01/31/2154, and punished it. The result was his 21st home run of the season, which put the Thunderbirds on top, 4-0.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Thunderbirds manager AP MP.
