The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Chicago fans at Beefs Stadium.

The Chicago Beefs cut down the Los Angeles Stars by the score of 9-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Georges Imbert. Imbert hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Beefs. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Los Angeles.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Imbert hit a fastball from Godfried Ludeman for a 2-run single, putting Chicago up, 3-1.
