Puerto Rico wasted a solid 6.2-inning effort from starting pitcher Sher Rathore, losing to Santo Domingo, 2-1, at Ballpark of San Juan. Santo Domingo is now 55-72, while Puerto Rico is 69-58.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, Tomás Galló was at the plate when Santo Domingo scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Palmchats to go in front, 2-1.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Galló said after the game.
