The Beijing Emperors used the hitting of center fielder Njoroge Sarahani to subdue the Melbourne Meteors, 6-5. For the game, Sarahani was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The first-place Emperors have won 5 straight games.

Salla Usaama came through with a big-time hit for Beijing. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Emperors manager Kev In.
