The game between Rome and Black Forest is in the books, despite a little rain.
Rome turned a good effort from starter Carlos Rúbio into a win over the Black Forest Foxes at The Den. The Generals won the game, 6-2. Rome reliever Roberto Lugo picked up the win, raising his record to 3-4. Wilson Rodríguez was tagged with the loss.
Rome used the timely hitting of Amin Mahir to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Generals on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Rome manager Tx Horns.
With the victory, the Generals upped their record to 21-19.
