Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Rome Generals got the win.
Rome Generals starter Pierre Levasseur pitched well against the Paris Fleur-de-Lis at The Colosseum, leading his team to a win, 4-2. The Generals now have a record of 59-71 with the win over Paris.
Sami Muroki, who finished 2nd in the IBL in batting average with .341 in 2152, contributed to the Rome win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Paris skipper Jus L. Hart, "and it cost us."
