Erik Sverdrup, who is tied for 7th in the IBL in complete games with 1, never let the Falcons get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Meteors to a win, 4-1. Max Schmalzl nailed down his 3rd save. The Meteors bumped their record to 24-16 with this latest triumph.

In his 83-pitch effort, Sverdrup allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 7 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 6.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Sverdrup.
