Buizer Fashions Shutout Against Santo Domingo
The Santo Domingo Palmchats manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Havana Dolphins. The Palmchats were overpowered by Havana starter Rens Buizer, who hurled his club to victory, 8-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Huck L. Berry said.

Over 9 innings, Buizer blanked Santo Domingo on 3 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Buizer said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

To date this year, Buizer shows a 16-5 record, 27 starts, 180 innings, 125 strikeouts and a 2.30 ERA.
