Rio de Janeiro third baseman Dae-hwan Koo contributed significantly to his team's 6-1 win over the Puerto Rico Coqui. Koo, who finished 5th in the ABL in on-base percentage with .379 last year, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Jaguars. The win makes Rio de Janeiro 72-59.

In the top of the fourth, the Jaguars found themselves in a jam. Puerto Rico had runners on 1st and 3rd with two out. The score was 3-1, Rio de Janeiro. Urtilan Cheromei was at the plate, hoping to deal the Jaguars a serious blow. Instead, he grounded out to end the threat.
