Mexico City Aztecs left-hander Enreecko Vergara pitched a good game against the Chicago Beefs at Ballpark of Mexico City, leading his team to victory, 5-1. The first-place Aztecs have a record of 80-52.

Mexico City took a 4-1 lead on Thao Trung's 18th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Trung hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chicago pitcher Mark Bell visibly frustrated.

"Enreecko throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Mexico City manager Square Drive.
