The rain did not keep Havana and El Paso from finishing their game.

The Havana Dolphins earned a win at El Estadio Latinoamericano, stopping the El Paso Thunderbirds, 5-2. Starting pitcher Tony Gutiérrez played a big role in his team's success. Deo Sudeshna, who leads the ABL in holds with 25, picked up the win in relief. Gregor Finlater took the loss for El Paso.

Havana took a 3-2 lead on Jacky Blondel's 14th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Blondel hit in the bottom of the eighth, left El Paso pitcher Gregor Finlater visibly frustrated.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Havana manager Dan Farnell.

The first-place Dolphins sport a record of 77-56.
