Westmann Helps Mexico City Bombard El Paso
The Mexico City Aztecs stormed past the El Paso Thunderbirds, 15-4, at Ballpark of Mexico City. Mexico City left fielderPiotr Westmann , who finished 2nd in the ABL in stolen bases with 57 in 2149, led the hit parade. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. El Paso has now lost 5 straight.

With Mexico City leading 11-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Westmann came up to bat against El Paso pitcher George Simmons. Westmann hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Aztecs on top, 15-4.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Mexico City manager Square Drive.
