Palmchats Pick Up 6-4 Win
|
Santo Domingo and Chicago duked it out and the Palmchats came out victorious.
The Santo Domingo Palmchats overcame a good performance by Chicago second baseman Joshua Etheridge to knock off Chicago, 6-4, at Beefs Stadium. Etheridge was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Santo Domingo is last in the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division with a record of 58-76.
The Palmchats benefited from an error in the top of the second inning. Santo Domingo was leading 1-0 when Ramón Ornelas hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Santo Domingo in front, 2-0.
Santo Domingo manager Huck L. Berry commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
