The Black Forest Foxes spoiled a good performance by Beijing first baseman Yi-lin Han, bumping off Beijing, 8-6, at The Den. Han belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. José Barajas was the winner. He's now 7-10. The loser was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Érico Caramelo. Black Forest is now 68-66, while Beijing is 85-49.

Black Forest shortstop Sami Malik contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 133rd hit of the season and put the Foxes ahead, 5-2.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager DP Woodford said.
