Meteors left fielder Ishtaq Abbasi put his stamp on his team's 7-3 win over the Paris Fleur-de-Lis. Abbasi went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Melbourne in the contest. Gerardo Mendoza picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-5 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 5 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 3 runs. The win hiked the Melbourne record to 70-64.

Melbourne left fielder Josh Bence contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 125th hit of the season and put the Meteors ahead, 4-1.
