Generals Lose, 3-2, at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium
In a low-scoring contest between the Karachi Falcons and the Rome Generals, Susumu Okamoto, who finished 3rd in the IBL in ERA with 3.18 last year, proved to be the difference. The Karachi right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Falcons win. The 4th-place Falcons bumped their record to 64-71.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Falcons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when catcher Jesús Álvarez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Ángel Castillo and made the score 2-0, Falcons. Álvarez was 1-4.

"It's a mindset," said Okamoto. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
