Havana turned a good effort from starting pitcher Jorge Marrero into a win over the Los Angeles Stars at Field of the Stars. The final score was 4-2 in 11 innings. At 80-57, the Dolphins claim first place in the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division.

Havana used the timely hitting of António González to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dolphins on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Jorge pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Havana manager Dan Farnell.
