The Santo Domingo Palmchats downed the Los Angeles Stars, 4-3, in 11 innings at Field of the Stars. The Palmchats were led by Miguel Dueñas. Dueñas went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs. The win puts the Palmchats at 62-78, while the Stars drop to 60-80.
Dueñas had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 0-1 fastball from Maximino Trapa, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Palmchats a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Dueñas.
Santo Domingo manager Huck L. Berry called it "a good, solid win."
