The Black Forest Foxes beat the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, 9-3, at The Den. Black Forest third baseman Ewan Brouard led the way. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. José Barajas went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right-hander, who finished 4th in the IBL in ERA with 2.93 in 2152, struck out 2 and walked 1. With the win, he's now 8-10 this season. The Foxes are now 72-70, while the Fleur-de-Lis fall to 56-86.

Darge Ibada had a big 3-run home run for the Foxes in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Black Forest trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Abdur Razzaq Marwat, who is tied for 6th in the IBL in strikeouts with 155, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Foxes ahead, 3-2.

"It was a solid team effort," said Brouard after the game.
