The Beijing Emperors topped the Cairo Pharaohs by a score of 6-5 in 11 innings. Leading the way was third baseman Ryutaro Kimura. Kimura was 2-3 with a home run and a walk for the Emperors. Gia-Long Hoang snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 3 innings. He's now 5-2 on the season. The first-place Emperors sport a record of 90-52.

The Emperors got a clutch hit from right fielder Njoroge Sarahani. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Emperors.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Emperors manager Kev In.
