In a low-scoring affair between Melbourne Meteors and the Tokyo Fitzies, pitcher Borya Jevakhov was the difference-maker. The Melbourne left-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 3-1 win. The winner was Jevakhov. He threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Mathias Lefort.
