Daegu Hangs 4-3 Loss on Karachi
The Daegu Monks locked up a win at Monks Stadium, knocking off the Karachi Falcons, 4-3. On the mound for Daegu was right-hander Sam Li. He played a major role in the triumph. Mehari Youssef picked up the save for Daegu, his 14th of the year. With the win, Daegu has a record of 53-90. Karachi falls to 68-75.

Raghib bin Wafeeq had a big run-scoring double for the Monks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Daegu leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a splitter from Amrus Mtembei, who finished 4th in the IBL in innings pitched with 232.2 in 2150, and swatted a double to left. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Monks ahead, 4-2.

"Both teams played hard," said Daegu manager R Beadle.
