Rodríguez Bashes 5 Base Hits
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Duarte Rodríguez of the Melbourne Meteors. Rodríguez went on a tear at Meteor Crater and cracked hit after hit off Tokyo pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 27-year-old center fielder had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.

Despite Rodríguez's personal accolades, the Tokyo Fitzies walked off the field with the 12-6 win.

Duarte Rodríguez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th.

Rodríguez is currently batting .285 with 23 home runs and 75 RBIs.
