Los Angeles beat Detroit on the strength of starting pitcher Maximino Trapa's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Getting the save was Clodio Castanhedo, his 11th. The last-place Blue Gills now sit at 10-32.

Jaromir Cermaka, who finished 2nd in the ABL in triples with 14 in 2150, helped out the Los Angeles cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4.
