Santo Domingo Gets 3-1 Road Win
|
Santo Domingo and Rio de Janeiro played a hard-fought contest.
Santo Domingo Palmchats pitcher Johannes Nieminen was in top form, leading his team past the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 3-1. With the win, Santo Domingo pushed its record to 23-19.
Santo Domingo used a well-timed hit by Bruhier bin Seif to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Palmchats ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said bin Seif.
