Starting pitcher Mathieu Richet pitched well enough to help the Beijing Emperors beat the Melbourne Meteors, 4-3. Richet picked up the win for Beijing, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 13-4. Gia-Long Hoang got the save, his 29th in 33 chances.
