The Cairo Pharaohs defeated the Black Forest Foxes, 9-3, at The Den. Cairo second baseman Wattas Mwenda had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chinh Tran-Dinh, who finished 3rd in the ABL in wins with 17 last year, was the winner. He's now 12-11. The loser was Dae-il Kim. With this game in the books, Cairo is 76-70, Black Forest 74-72.

With Cairo leading 4-3 in the top of the sixth, Mwenda hit a curveball from Dae-il Kim for a 2-run triple. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Pharaohs ahead, 6-3.

"That was not our best effort," said Black Forest skipper DP Woodford.
