Lund Hits 2 home runs in Emperors Win
The Beijing Emperors beat the Melbourne Meteors, 8-4, at The Bird's Nest. Beijing center fielder Berde Lund had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Man-u Yo, the winning pitcher, improved to 13-6. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The Emperors have an impressive 93-53 record.

With Beijing leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Lund hit a fastball from Christian Lee for a solo home run. It was his 31st home run of the season and put the Emperors ahead, 2-0.
