The Los Angeles Stars downed the Mexico City Aztecs, 15-8, in 14 innings at Ballpark of Mexico City. The Stars were led by Jaromir Cermaka. Cermaka was 4-7 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 4 times. The Stars now have a record of 64-83 with the win over Mexico City.

The Aztecs had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Stars going into the top of the 14th inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old shortstop Danh Sa came to the plate. Sa hit a run-scoring double on a 0-2 fastball from Mexico City hurler Tyler Tolmie. It was Sa's 3rd double of the year.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Sa.
