Monks Drop Close One Late
The Tokyo Fitzies beat the Daegu Monks, 8-7, in 15 innings, in part because of catcher Munsif Abdul-Muta'al. He hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. With the win, Tokyo pushed its record to 75-72.

The decisive blow was delivered by Rana Kermani in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a solo home run off 37-year old right-handed pitcher Ki-heon Myong to win the game for Tokyo. The home crowd went nuts.
