The Mexico City Aztecs downed the Havana Dolphins, 4-1, at El Estadio Latinoamericano. Stellar pitching by John Collier had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 7th in the ABL in wins with 4, handcuffed his opponent all game. Hayato Tsuchida earned his 13th save, after closing out the game. With the win, Mexico City pushed its record to 26-16.
Tai Khuc, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in stolen bases with 12, had a direct impact on the outcome. Khuc contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Mexico City up, 3-0.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Havana skipper Dan Farnell, "and it cost us."
