Stars Lose to Blue Gills in Walk-Off
|
Detroit turned a fine outing from starter Mu-sang Kim into a victory over the Los Angeles Stars at Detroit Ballpark. The final score was 3-2 in 10 innings. Osman Sumbatashvili snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-5 on the season. Svetozar Kos suffered the loss. The last-place Blue Gills have won 4 straight games.
The Blue Gills got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Thomas Thomas. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blue Gills.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Detroit manager Detroit Dave.
