Inagaki Slugs 2 Home Runs, Pharaohs Beat Fleur-de-Lis, 9-8
|
Cairo shortstop Hiroyasu Inagaki picked up 5 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, 9-8. Héctor Leal, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. Cairo has run its win streak to 4 straight.
With Cairo trailing 6-3 in the top of the sixth, Inagaki hit a fastball from Augutino Meli for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Pharaohs ahead, 7-6.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Cairo manager J Stell.
