Beijing beat Karachi on the strength of starting pitcher Man-u Yo's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-3. Yo, now 14-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Picking up the save was Kumar Lata. He's now 6 for 9 in save chances.
Beijing took the lead, 8-3, on Eng-hee He's 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Karachi pitcher Phillipp Wolfensberger in the bottom of the eighth.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," He said after the game.
The Emperors, at 97-54, have a comfortable 17½-game lead in their division.
