The Melbourne Meteors topped the Karachi Falcons, 9-6, with left fielder Josh Bence playing a big role. Bence went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Meteors in the win. Dositej Anastasijevic closed the game out for Melbourne, earning his 1st save. Melbourne is third in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division with a record of 20-22.

With Melbourne leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Bence hit a run-scoring single off Karachi hurler Susumu Okamoto. It was the 38th hit of the season for Bence and put his team ahead, 5-3.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Meteors manager Bob Meteors. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
