The Rio de Janeiro Jaguars besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Havana first baseman Abdul-Wahhab bin Idris by beating the Dolphins, 11-10, at Rio de Janeiro Grounds. bin Idris was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Rio de Janeiro reliever Murtadi bin Jabbar was the winner. His record is now 11-11. The losing pitcher was Ferdinando Franchitti. Luis Gutiérrez wrapped it up, recording his 40th save.

The Dolphins had been locked in a 9-9 tie with the Jaguars going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Adityavarna Subramaniam came to the plate. Subramaniam hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 cutter from Havana hurler Ferdinando Franchitti. It was Subramaniam's 14th double of the year.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Subramaniam. "It made for an exciting game."

The win for the Jaguars raised their record to 86-66.
