Chávez Powers Monks to 6-3 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Oslo Voyageurs and Daegu Monks get after it.

A 3-RBI performance from Carlos Chávez, who finished 3rd in the IBL in stolen bases with 22 last year, helped the Daegu Monks beat the Oslo Voyageurs, 6-3. Oslo has now lost 4 consecutive games.

With Daegu trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Chávez hit a fastball from Matt Gentry for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Monks ahead, 2-1.

Chávez attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
