2154 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Daegu Monks.

The Melbourne Meteors topped the Daegu Monks, 6-4, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at Meteor Crater. The game was highlighted by the performance of Melbourne pitcher Borya Jevakhov. Dositej Anastasijevic earned the save, his 9th in 13 tries.

The Meteors got a big at-bat from first baseman Sima Lovre. For the game, Lovre went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 30th home run of the season gave Melbourne a 2-1 lead.

"I felt good up there," said Lovre. "I saw the ball well."

The win lifted the Melbourne record to 81-71.
