The Black Forest Foxes bested the Rome Generals, 9-8, at The Colosseum. Jing Shih was one of the standouts. He went 4-4 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Daw Gacharia earned the win to go to 10-13. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 1 strikeout in 5 innings of work. By defeating Rome, the third-place Foxes improved to 78-75.

In the top of the fifth, Black Forest first baseman Kieran Morrison had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Morrison stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Black Forest. For the game, he was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Enjoyed this one," Shih told the Black Forest Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
