Lund Lifts Emperors to 8-2 Triumph
Berde Lund impressed in the 8-2 Beijing win over Karachi. Lund, who is tied for 4th in the IBL with a .929 OPS, went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Beijing, at 99-54, is 18 games up in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Owen Rabbetts had a big 2-run double for the Emperors in the bottom of the first inning. With Beijing leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Susumu Okamoto, who finished 3rd in the IBL in ERA with 3.18 last year, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 34th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Emperors ahead, 4-0.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Rabbetts.
