Thunderbirds Rack Up 5-2 Win Versus Los Angeles
|
Tien Dung Long, who finished 3rd in the IBL in strikeouts with 193 in 2147, had a strong outing for the El Paso Thunderbirds against the Los Angeles Stars at Thunderdome. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. The 4th-place Thunderbirds are now 19-24, the Stars 21-22.
Abraha Saqr hit a 2-run home run off Damien Duval in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Thunderbirds ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Saqr had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"That was a really good outing by Tien Dung," said El Paso manager AP MP.
