Puerto Rico right-hander Sher Rathore pitched his team to victory over the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars at Ballpark of San Juan. The final score was 7-1. The Coqui improved to 80-74.

The Coqui got a big at-bat from left fielder Octávio Cicia. For the game, Cicia went 1-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 4th triple of the season gave Puerto Rico a 2-0 lead.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Puerto Rico skipper Kir By.
