The Karachi Falcons converted a terrific effort from starter Miguel Salazar into a win over the Tokyo Fitzies at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium. The Falcons won the game by a final score of 3-2. Phillipp Wolfensberger, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. Today's win puts Karachi at 72-82, while Tokyo falls to 78-76.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Falcons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when second baseman Jorge Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Cosmo Laureano and made the score 3-1, Falcons. Rodríguez went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Rodríguez.
