Extra-Inning Win by Emperors Over Monks
The Beijing Emperors defeated the Daegu Monks, 5-3, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at Monks Stadium. Beijing pitcher Tse-peng Huang had a standout performance. Beijing reliever Shih-k'ai Tseng, who finished 5th in the ABL in innings pitched with 230.0 in 2150, was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-3. Mehari Youssef took the loss for Daegu. Wei-fang Cheng got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.

Beijing second baseman Serafim Bexiga delivered a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th. Overall, he went 3 for 6, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and knocked in 2.

Bexiga told a Beijing News reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.

The winning continues for Beijing, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
