Havana Loss Diminishes Blondel Performance
|
Havana catcher Jacky Blondel pounded Rio de Janeiro Jaguars pitchers at El Estadio Latinoamericano, but it was not enough to keep the Dolphins from falling, 9-6. Blondel went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. At 21-22, the Jaguars are currently 4th in the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division.
Leo Brooks, who finished 4th in the ABL in hits with 187 in 2150, helped out the Rio de Janeiro cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Brooks told the Rio de Janeiro Times.
