Lund Lifts Emperors to 10-5 Triumph
The Beijing Emperors downed the Karachi Falcons, 10-5. The hitting star was center fielder Berde Lund. Lund was 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Emperors. Beijing reliever Bing-zhang Chin was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-3. Amrus Mtembei took the loss for Karachi. The Emperors are now 29-15, while the Falcons fall to 19-25.

Beijing used a timely hit from Yi-lin Han to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Emperors ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Han.
