Monks Capture Extra-Inning Win
The Daegu Monks downed the Melbourne Meteors, 5-4, in 12 innings at Monks Stadium. Miguel Peña led the way, going 4-for-6 for Daegu. The Monks raised their record to 17-27.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the 12th. With Daegu trailing 4-3, Peña hit a slider from Max Schmalzl for a 2-run double. In the blink of an eye, the Monks had a walk-off win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Peña said.
